After posting a negative comment on Delta Vacations FB page, I was contacted by a customer service representative. (This was after a second attempt to get help from their "consumer care" dept. via email.) Finally, they did offer to make things right, and credit me for the additional day charged.

Original review Sep 09, 2014
I arranged flights and a rental car for a trip to Europe from Delta/ MLT. I was told there was a two-hour window/ grace period from the pick-up time for the rental car, to the return time 11 days later. The time on the contract with Avis Munich (which MLT contracted) was pick-up at 11:00am with drop-off at 11:00am. I questioned several times both MLT agent and an Avis agent, that we would land earlier than that and would probably actually be able to pick up our car between 9:30 and 10:00. They both said "no problem" because there is a two-hour grace period. We returned our car to Venice at approx. 10:15am (what a disorganized mess - and then the Venice office charged us for extra gas after we had just filled it -- sneaked it on the charges after we left, but it was refunded when we objected). In any case, we were charged for an extra day, as they said we returned the car 1 1/2 hours late. That cost us another 130$ -- MLT said Not their problem since the charge came from Avis - nothing they could do...no help. They gave me inaccurate info, then when I got charged for it, they punted

Plus, it's interesting that MLT vacations doesn't offer a toll-free number for complaints. Maybe they get so many that it would cost them too much!

MLT worst travel company ever..stay away at all costs

booked a trip with Delta vacations..not knowing it was actually MLT. within 2 weeks of booking Delta changed the flight times, MLT would not help with taking other flights, althoug i told them my wife will more than likely lose her job cause of the extra time that she has to *** cause of the delays they caused, or even at least use our deposit to rebook a new trip.plus we have 2 little children with us and the delays were going to make our trip a nightmare. lost$800 and rebooked a totally new trip with spirit. HATE MLT and not even if they offer free trips...STAY AS FAR AWAY AS U CAN.

Worry Free Vacations MLT Nightmares.

I was leaving Las Vegas at 3:40pm on a flight to St. Louis (Champion Air owned by Northwest). We backed out on the runway and sat for two hours with no air conditioning and an obnoxious drunk (they had to kick off)then pulled back up to the terminal for another hour to fix engine # 2, before leaving for St.Louis , thank god they announced that their best mechanic would fix it right up. Well after an hour and a half in the air we lost engine #2 some where over Colorado, and so they made an emergency landing in Denver where we spent the next 6 hours waiting for another plane that we missed as we were detained by security who told us we needed a airline representative to come get us through security (they never came, we waited 1 1/2 hours for someone to come) when we finally found someone from the airline they informed us that there was nothing they would do for us and that our bags were locked up and we could get them at 5 am, we waited and found out at 6 am our bags had went to St. Louis without us (a saftey violation) they offered to take 1 of us back to vegas and TRY to find space on a flight (leaving at midnight) from there. We declined that offer of course, then we were told there was nothing else they could do that we would need to call Worry Free Vacations/MLT Vacations help line and ask them what to do. We called and they got us a flight out at 8 am on a Northwest flight to Memphis and then another flight to St. Louis but we HAD to pay for it! In the end it took us 31 hours to get to St. Louis from Vegas and 2 more hours to drive home making that a total of 33 hours without sleep. The company MLT vacations otherwise known as Worry Free Vacations had made our Worry Free Vacation a NIGHTMARE. They were rude, incompetent, unprofessional and I would not recommend them to even my enemies.

MLT vacations and my ruined honeymoon!

So this is the Biggest joke of a company. I would never travel thru them again. After our honeymoon was ruined in cancun mexico, which we thought we had booked our trip thru contintenal vacations, once again we were lied to which is on paper too. We found out that all they wanted to give to us at repayment for our room flooding was 300 in vouchers towards another vacation with them. Im sorry im not taking that. i am not fighting them with my credit card company in hand for this. Also to have some lady at the company who names i will not disclose that this time, tell me if you continue with the disput, mexico has the right to deny me into the country. im sorry but that is a threat. and i even asked that. No one will dear threating me. if they dont let me back in on freaking well i will go else were with my hard earned money. I just cant believe that my own agent doesnt really even care and i was unhappy. its all a joke to them cause they might have to eat the money. any person if they went thru what we did would do this same thing. I want to know if anyhting else has gone thru this.

NY-NY and MLT lied by omission

Travel agent booked a summer shopping trip for me and my 16 year old daughter through MLT. Arrived at the NYNY Hotel and Casino July 6, 2008 to quiet, uncrowded hotel thinking it would be a great trip. Woke Monday morning to major construction!!! Large wall was placed from front doors to back of casino. You had to follow small walkway around everything and had to dodge learing construction workers! And the noise and smell of jackhammers and removal equipment was too much to bear. You had to yell at everyone to be heard. No one mentioned any construction, from travel agent to hotel to MLT. This is unacceptable at all levels. I travel to LV several times a year, but never with MLT or NYNY again!!!!!!!!! When I returned I complained to my travel agent who just looked at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears. Did she even let MLT know my situation or was she just covering to keep commissions. I feel violated by more than one company. I will just book my own vacations from now on! Travel industry does not care about people and their hard earned money!!!

Worry Free Vacation

I travel a lot with worry free and they have wonderful customer service. Their employees are the best people I had ever meant. I also travel worry free because that what their company name stands for. You don't have to worry about anything. Everything is set for you and runs smoothly on your vacation and travel. I rate this company 100 per cent. I would never travel anywhere without them setting my travel plans. I'm going to Florida this year and I'm booking with them. No worries and no stress. People don't judge them untill you use their service.

Worry Free Vacations & NWA Lied

I have frequent flyer miles which I use to upgrade flights. We needed to be in Cancun on May 17th and began to look for flights in Dec - 07 - the flights appeared to be booked - no upgradable seats on the plane. So my travel agent called Worry Free and NWA and asked if NWA flights were booked via Worry Free - if first class upgrades could be done and she was assured by both places. Once the ticket was sold - both places refused the upgrades - they will not speak to me - only the travel agent as they are attempting to shift the blame instead of accepting responsibility for their poorly trained and incompetent employees!

I think this person had every right to expect to get what she was promised. It is not that she is demanding something for free.

Rather, she inquired if she would be able to use her miles (which, of course, represent money spent) to get the upgrade. Worry-Free and NWA could simply have said "no", and while disappointed, this consumer probably would have lived with that. But they didn't. Instead they said "yes", and then later reneged.

She isn't telling them that they HAVE to give her a free upgrae, she is telling them that if they say they will, and she relies on that promise, that they should stand by their word. I feel for your situation.

Guest

wow it must be hard to have not gotten something for free like an upgrade when you could have just paid for it or waited and had it done instead of whine, but than again, mistakes happen im sure you have made more than your own share of mistakes, and of course blamed someone else.. have a nice day..

Guest

Last I checked..wasn't worry free a CHARTER company? You can't use awards miles on charters..

Guest

I dont think they lied it sounds like a total misunderstanding. Usually if someone asks about first class upgrades on tickets purchased from second-hand vendors, they are an elite flyer with elite status who can upgrade for free.

That answer would have been a yes, first class upgrades can be done. But in this case its not a freebie being asked for, the OP doesnt claim elite status, he just wanted to spend or redeem his hard-earned miles sitting in his account to purchase an upgrade.

This can only be done directly with nwa. Sounds like a big misunderstanding to me, as there is more than one way to get FC UPs.

Guest

I hope her flight was bearable. Poor thing not being able to upgrade to first class for nicks.

It's difficult for elitist people to accept 2nd best, but hey, that's why we have classes in society. Some one has to gorge themselves on the trivial extras life throws at them.

I just hope the Airline got an arthritic Somali to massage her feet for free during the trip as compensation.

Guest

Why do people always want their products free?

I read recently where a stow away was crushed in the under carriage of a plane trying to escape his country.

I am sure if he was alive today, he would be horrified to read of your misfortune.

MLT Worry about everything

MLT does not gaurantee anything when you book a trip. Not the room or beds so if you book a room for a family of 4 be prepared to have someone sleep on the floor, maybe. We were put in a room with one bed for 4 people and the desk clerk and manager really did not care. We spent $7000 on this trip to Playa and my kids spent the first nights on Beach chairs. MLT said to talk to the hotel, the hotel said to talk to MLT.This is nothing but a run around, pass the buck etc. They sent a voucher for your next trip. Like I would book through them again.

Worry Free Vacations

Marlene at Worry Free vacations will not address the issue of fraud with me, again tries to push the blame off on the travel agent who is innocent. Both NWA and Worry Free Vacations are guilty of fraudulent sales and unresponsive to the consumer. Do not trust anything they tell you over the phone, ask them to fax you the rules in writing to make sure you recieve what you believe you are buying. Do not buy tickets through Worry Free Vacations, they will not respond to directly to you even though they are more than happy to take your money!
